Bentli has been day-potty trained since May and I was starting to wonder if she would ever wake up with a dry diaper. Since she does very well during nap time I decided to let her wear panties last night, just to try it out. To be completely honest I thought that I would be doing a load of laundry in the morning. Still I decided to let her give it a shot. We talked about waking up in the night and getting mommy if she needed to go potty. Then I let Bentli pick out a treat; she decided on a ring pop. And off to bed she went.
This morning she was yelling for me to come and get her, and since she is usually climbing on me to get out of bed, I figured she had indeed wet the bed. I went in to get her and much to my suprise I found DRY PANTIES!! We did the usually yelling and jumping praises and then Bentli went straight for her ring pop and the phone to call Daddy! I really expected to do laundry the first time I tried this, so it was a wonderful suprise for me. I just hope this isn't a fluke!
I am so proud of my big girl!

YEAH Bentli! What a big girl. I am so glad that she is finally getting it, and less laundry for you!:) Isn't it funny how the small things make your day!
You are braver than I am! Emily is also daytime potty trained. I have been talking to her about night-time, but I haven't worked up the guts to actually put it into action. Soon I think!
What a great story! We are so happy to hear about Bentli's potty training success!! Kudos to mommy, too!

Go Bentli! That is so great! I hope every night from now on is dry!
She is so grown up. I haven't started all that with Cash yet. He is showing interest in going potty but he's nowhere near recognizing he needs to go. I think we'll wait a bit. I'm not sure I'm excited for the transition but I'm looking forward to changing just one baby's diapers.
Oh it is the little things in life. We are heading down the same road with Alivia. Then we will be completely out of diapers forever. Yeah! Good luck.
Congratulations Bentli!!! You are one amazing girl! I hope that Kaiya follows in her footsteps very quickly. Way to go gang!
YEAH Bentli! Now if you can just start coaching Abigail...
That's awesome!! We haven't decided when to go pull-up free at night, she wakes up dry more often than not, and gets up late at night to go again half the time and sometimes middle of the night or early morning. Cory is gonna kill me, but he had bed-wetting issues when he was a little kid, so we didn't want to push things, but we are probably going to try soon, but she gets a kick out of "checking her flowers" every morning. The flowers on the pull up that disappear if they get wet, and we get all excited when the flowers are still there.
What a big step!
